Guerdon Ely, MBA, CFP^®, AIFA^®

Guerdon Ely has over 25 years of experience in financial and investment counseling. He is the author of Uncertainty is a Certainty: Fables for Fiduciaries, a book on prudent fiduciary investing. He is the creator and developer of two highly regarded retirement distribution software programs, MRD-Determinator and Pre-Determinator, which have been reviewed in MorningstarAdvisor.Com, Investment Advisor, Accounting Today, and WebCPA.

Mr. Ely received a Master of Business Administration degree from California State University, Chico after graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Economics. He is a Certified Financial Planner™, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst™, and a Chartered Financial Consultant™.

Mr. Ely has taught courses for the California Continuing Education of the Bar and other professional organizations. He has contributed to educational materials used at American Law Institute-American Bar Association programs, at the Notre Dame Tax Institute, and the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning. His contributions on various financial subjects have appeared in articles in Newsweek, Forbes, Bloomberg, Trusts and Estates, Retirement Weekly, and The Wall Street Journal.

Mr. Ely has also been acknowledged for his contributions to The Prudent Investor Act: A Guide to Understanding by W. Scott Simon, Life and Death Planning for Retirement Benefits by Natalie Choate and The Terrible Truth About Investing by Bruce J. Temkin.
